Head Gardener CSA Manager

Head Gardener / CSA Manager is in charge of sustainable vegetable and herb production, harvest and distribution for Hancock Shaker Village’s CSA and Café. We currently have about 2 acres in annual vegetable production, with the capacity to supply a 70-80 member CSA. In addition the Head Gardener / CSA Manager is responsible for heirloom seed saving, the care of the medicinal herb garden, orchards, and several educational and decorative gardens on the property.

Assistant to the Director and Development Office

The Assistant to the Director and Development Department is the front line for the administrative office at Hancock Shaker Village. The position is responsible for doing high-level administrative functions for the Director (20%) and the Development Department (80%). The core tasks include processing and entering gifts and memberships into the global database (Altru, a Blackbaud based software), providing detailed and precise financial reports, keeping and organizing files, creating correspondence to members, donors, artists, curators, and other museum professionals, preparing giving and donor reports for the Director of Development, coordinating calendars, prepping for meetings, planning and participating in event execution, and providing general staff support.

Membership and Sponsorship Manager

Hancock Shaker Village’s Membership and Sponsorship Manager will oversee and manage memberships, sponsorships, and the annual fund. The position will be responsible for implementing a strategic membership program that would annually engage and raise support from individuals and businesses. The position will be responsible for developing and implementing a multi-year growth plan for the membership program in collaboration with the Director of Donor Relations. This position is also responsible for building a business membership and sponsorship program to engage companies with our programming and historic village.

Events Assistant

The Events Assistant is responsible for assisting the Events Manager in running successful events. Events held on property include both private rentals and Village programs. Rental events range from weddings to proms and corporate dinners, while Village events range from exhibition openings and membership events to concerts and festivals.

Farm and Garden Staff

The Farm and Garden Staff member will assist the CSA manager with vegetable  production and care of Hancock Shaker Village gardens including the Medicinal herb garden. Will provide support to barn staff as needed.   The position is seasonal, up to 40 hours Tuesday- Saturday April through early November.

Visitor Services

Hancock Shaker Village seeks a customer-service oriented person to greet visitors.  The ideal candidate will assist museum store customers with questions and purchases. Part-time seasonal position, weekends are a must.
