I recently saw a few houses throughout my travels that are already lit up and decorated for Christmas. Now, some people may say that's too early, but then again, with all of the work that goes into it, you might as well get some mileage out of the decorations. At least that's one way of looking at it.

In addition to decorating for the holidays, some folks are already purchasing holiday gifts for loved ones and friends.
