Storm Watch Upgraded to Storm Warning
The National Weather Service reports that a winter storm warning for heavy snow with total snow accumulations of 5 to 9 inches for the entire tri-state region is in effect from 1pm Saturday through 7am Sunday. Travel could be very difficult and snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour is possible. Areas of blowing and drifting snow is also possible. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
