West Main Street in North Adams was closed for a short period of time

An arrest was made on Wednesday evening in a Monday hit-and-run incident at the University of Massachusetts flagship campus in Amherst.

Amherst Police are appealing to the public for help in finding a hit-and-run driver of an SUV that badly injured a student at Umass Amherst on Monday night.

A Pittsfield woman was struck on Main Street last Friday afternoon while in the crosswalk in front of the Rite-Aid store.
