Mass Pike

Weather has continued to push this project back.  Originally slated to pave Main Street in Lee yesterday, rain forced the project to be put on hold until after midnight tonight. There will be no overnight parking allowed downtown for the next couple of days as Palmer Paving will be paving Main Street and continuing work on Housatonic Street, Center Street, East Center Street and Columbia Street. .

A major accident on the Mass Turnpike in Becket on Friday claimed the life of a 69-year-old Western Mass man according to a report released by the Mass State Police.  According to the report Troopers from the Lee Barracks responded Friday afternoon at 3:22 to a crash on the east bound side of the Mass Pike involving a tractor-trailer and two passenger vehicles...

Construction and milling work will take place this week between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, along I-90 in Otis and Becket.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation says its exit renumbering project, which was announced last year, will begin next month, with current exit numbers on most highways in Massachusetts switching to mileage-based exit numbers. The exit numbers are set to roll out in October and are being changed by MassDOT to comply with federal highway mandates, which require mile-based exit signs... Re

Something to keep in mind if you're traveling out of the Berkshires on the Mass Pike. There may be delays due to road construction this week.
