We have another group of streets in Pittsfield that are due for some roadwork next week. Yes, September rolls on...as does the 2022 Street Improvement Project.

This scam works rather simply. The contractor either shows up at your door or maybe leaves a pamphlet for you saying that they are doing work in the area and noticed that your driveway could use some paving and then promises you a great deal.

Lately, local roads have turned into massive parking lots

Weather has continued to push this project back.  Originally slated to pave Main Street in Lee yesterday, rain forced the project to be put on hold until after midnight tonight. There will be no overnight parking allowed downtown for the next couple of days as Palmer Paving will be paving Main Street and continuing work on Housatonic Street, Center Street, East Center Street and Columbia Street. .

Spring is a very busy time for Mass DOT paving projects.  If you have traveled the Mass Pike in the last couple of weeks you have encountered thousands of orange cones and work crews fixing guardrails and re-paving the highway. In Lee paving is scheduled to start today on Route 20...
