Constables were able to verify that a mother bear had fallen from the top of the tree and somehow became wedged between two large sections of the tree.

With the number of bear sightings in the Berkshires increasing we thought it would be a good idea to pass on some information from the National Park Service on what to do if you encounter a bear. First just seeing a bear is not a daily occurrence so it can be very exciting to see one...
